The Palmetto
Poison Center serves as the Regional Poison Control center for the State
of South Carolina and is the only poison control resource in the State.
The Center is a cooperative effort of Palmetto Richland Memorial
Hospital and the U.S.C. College of Pharmacy. The regional model assumed
by the center consists of one central poison control information center
and multiple hospital treatment sites throughout the State. The center
is widely recognized and heavily utilized throughout the State.
